One of the two suspected members of the One million Boys gang has said he joined the group since he generally observed them sharing cash after every operation (robbery).
They had been parading as members from One Million Boys gang in Lagos yet were captured by police officers connected to Ejigbo Division of the Lagos State Police Command.
The suspects had before kept in touch with residents, notifying them regarding their visit and furthermore took steps to remove casualties’ wrists in the event that they didn’t get what they needed.

Other members of the gang escaped.
At the hour of capture, the suspects were said to have rubbed black substance on their bodies to enable easy entrance into victims’ houses through burglary evidences, and powder on their appearances for mask. During earlier investigation, it was found that members of the One million Boys gang, dwelled at Kazeem and Apeno area in Ejigbo.
During cross investigation, one of the suspects, Adeola, said when they heard the police alarm booming that night, members from his theft gang ran away.
He said he was heartbreaking to have run into the midst of residents , who were keeping watch of their surrounds and was along these lines given over to the Police group.
Inquired as to why he joined the gang, the 18-year-old suspect stated: “I generally observe them counting and sharing cash, every time they came back from robbery.
“I figured I could make money as well and needed to go along with them. Segun introduced me to the gang and he showed me how to use cutlass on victim.
The powder we scoured on our faces was for a camouflage with the goal that nobody will remember us. In any case, I was arrested at my first operation.”
The suspects, be that as it may, denied being members from claiming the One Million Boys gang, saying they were only members from a road side.
They gave personalities of different individuals as Sherif, Papa, Peter and Segun. They were moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, on Tuesday.
