The police in Lagos state have arrested 28-year-old Adetayo Rasaq presented above for purportedly defiling a an eight year old girl in the Ikorodu area of the state.
An announcement released by the representative of the order, Bala Elkana, says on April 9th, a middle aged man filed a report at the Ikorodu Police Station that his girl was defiled by the suspect. As indicated by Bala, the dad of the victim said he got back after working all day and met his 8 year old little girl in pains, complaining of discomfort and stomach aches, Click here to read more news.
On request, she revealed to her dad that on March 31st, Rasaq who lived on Alladi Ijelu Street, Agunfoye, Ikorodu gave her biscuits and took her to his room where he had sexual relations with of her. The dad said he took his little girl to the emergency clinic for treatment and legal assessment.
Bala said the suspect, a dad of two, has been captured by investigators from the Juvenile Welfare Center, Ikorodu Police Station. He said the state Commissioner of Police has coordinated that the case be moved to Gender Unit, Command Headquarters Ikeja for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution, Click here to read more news.
