The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has responded to a viral video of an official got on camera supposedly with POS machine and requesting ATM card from an individual from people in general.
The power in an announcement discharged by the Nigerian Police Force on Friday said investigation is continuous into the Trending Video.
The Inspector-General of Police guaranteed Nigerians that he is focused on guaranteeing any official found guilty faces the wrath of the law.
The announcement read:
“The Nigerian Police Force has initiated investigations to disentangle the legitimacy of the video, area of occurrence and personality of people caught in the viral video where a few people in Police uniform were caught, supposedly with POS machine and requesting ATM card from an individual from the general population.
“The IGP censures all demonstrations of debasement by Public Servants, especially Police officials and is focused on bringing to book any official discovered needing in such manner.
“The police, in any case, encouraged individuals from people in general to send pertinent data that could help Police agents to pressforabuja@police.gov.ng or benevolent DM @policeNG
