The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reported the suspension of the continuous enrollment practice for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in 243 centres across the country.

The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, who revealed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, in Lagos, said the suspension of the activity in the influenced focuses is to allow the board conduct a third party recruitment examination, scheduled for Jan. 16
He stated,

“The explanation behind the suspension of the activity in the 243 centres across the country by the board is that the centres are likely going to be utilized for outsider enrollment assessment and we would prefer not to make any congestion.

“Be that as it may, the enrollment exercise will continue again in those centres across the nation, on Jan. 17.

“The board laments any burden the suspension may have caused the applicants,” he said.

Benjamin included that the list of the affected centres was on the board’s site www.jamb.gov.ng.

The registration of candidates for current year’s Computer-Based Test (CBT) initiated across the country on Jan. 13.
