UNILAG Lecturer Sentenced To 21 Years In Prison For R*ping 18-Years Old Admission Seeker
A part-time lecturer at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Afeez Baruwa has been condemned to 21 years in jail for assaulting a 18-year-old young lady dmission seeker.
The judgment was passed on Thursday by an Ikeja High Court.
Equity Josephine Oyefeso onvicted Baruwa of a one count charge of rape brought against him.
Equity Oyefeso stated: “the prosecution has proven his case beyond a reasonable doubt. I found him guilty of the charge” .
Conveying her judgment, the judge stated:“I cannot begin to imagine the emotional trauma of the girl. The convict offended his family, the victim, the society and God.
“Baruwa I therefore sentence you to 21 years detainment Maximum, this is my judgment”
