A man has taken to micro-blogging social network, Twitter to share the plight of a school gil who is preparing for Basic Education Certificate Exam, BECE.
The man identified as Michael Owusu, revealed that the little girl has been reading under streetlight for close to two years due to the fact that there’s no power supplied to her family home.
According to him, she often comes out at night to read her books and do her assignments with the light and he sees her whenever he’s passing.
He shared photos of her using the light at night and called on well-meaning individuals to come to her aid.
In his words; ”There is this young girl who has been learning under street lights for close to two years because she has no access to electricity in their house. I learnt she’s about to write BECE. I just observe how serious she is with her studies each time I pass by.
