70 years of age is a very big deal. Historically, not many people have lived long enough to hit 70 and so every time a person crosses such a milestone, it is definitely worthy of celebration. This year, some of Nigeria’s most prominent figures either have already or are going to be clocking 70 some time during the year. Are you ready to see who these lucky ones ae? 1. Doyin Okupe
Adedoyin Ajibike Okupe better known as Doyin Okupe is a Nigerian physician and politician who co-founded Royal Cross Medical Centre and was the National Publicity Secretary of National Republican Convention (NRC). He was also was the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Olusegun Obasanjo and Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Doyin Okupe was born on March 22, 1952 and already celebrated his 70th birthday about three months ago.
2. Adams Oshiomhole
Adams Oshiomhole is a Nigerian politician and the former National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress. Oshiomhole had previously served as the President of Nigeria Labour Congress from 1999 to 2007 and the executive governor of Edo State, Nigeria from 2008 to 2016. He was later suspended from the position of APC National Chairman by the Abuja Court of Appeal in 2020.

3. Onyeka Onwenu
Onyeka Onwenu is a very popular Nigerian singer/songwriter, actress, human right activist, social activist, journalist, politician, and former X Factor series judge. She has been responsible for such hits as One Love, Bia Nulu, Iyogogo, and Ekwe. As an actress, she has starred in such productions as Lionheart, Half of a Yellow Sun, Muna, and God Calling.

4. Bola Tinubu
Bola Tinubu is a Nigerian accountant and politician who served as the Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007 and Senator for Lagos West during the brief Third Republic. In June 2022, he was chosen and announced as the All Progressives Congress nominee in the 2023 Nigerian presidential election.
Bola Tinubu was born on the 29th of March 1952 making him 70 years old as of this year.
5. Cletus Ibeto
Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto is a Nigerian businessman most popular for making Ibeto Cement. He is the head of The Ibeto Group, the largest business enterprise from Nnewi and apart from cement, they are also known for making automative spare parts.

6. Mary Odili
Mary Ukaego Odili is a Nigerian judge and wife of Peter Odili, who served as Governor of Rivers State from 1999 to 2007. She was appointed an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (JSC) by President Goodluck Jonathan and was administered the oath of office by Chief Justice Katsina-Alu on 23 June 2011.

7. Oga Bello
Adebayo Salami popularly known by his stage name Oga Bello, is a veteran Nigerian actor, filmmaker, movie producer and director. He has starred in movies like Ajani Ogun, Kadara, Ogun, and more.
