20-year-old woman recognized as Abdulrahman Safau Omowumi has been accounted for assaulted and matcheted to death at Gerewu region of Ilorin city.
The deceased, until her passing an understudy of Bathelomew College of Health Technology, Shao in Moro nearby government territory of Kwara State.
The deceased, until her passing was doing her internship at Abebi Hospital Gerewu, and incidentally lived with her uncle at Gerewu because of nearness to her place of connection.
She ventured uout from home on Saturday 27th of June around 4pm and she didn’t get back till Sunday morning. The family answered to the police.
The police later discovered her corpse alongside a stream at Oko-oba in Gerewu town on Sunday morning, with matchet cuts on her head and she was suspected to have been assaulted.
Her corpse was kept at the Ilorin General Hospital mortuary.
