10. Brain On Fire (2016) – 6.6

This biography drama is a fairly new flick, starring Moretz at the forefront. She plays a young writer, who is suddenly plagued by a neurological disease that is rare and difficult to source. This flick follows the discovery of her illness and her suffering.

Based on a true story, Brain On Fire is an incredibly interesting and deep role for Moretz, which, she certainly plays with incredible conviction. This movie is bound to pull at everyone’s heartstrings.

9. Clouds Of Sils Maria (2014) – 6.7

Clouds of Sils Maria stars Juliette Binoche, Kristen Stewart, and Chloë Grace Moretz. A film star acts in a revival of the play that first jetted her career, and she is faced with many distressing reflections of herself.

With voice-acting from John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, and James Lipton, Moretz voices the younger version of the main human character, Penny. This flick is a huge adventure, that’s bound to be loved by all.

6. Suspiria (2018) – 6.8

Suspiria is a horror flick with Moretz at the forefront. She stars alongside Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton. Following a dance company, a darkness infiltrates the director, the dancers, and a psychotherapist.

This creepy, mesmerizing, and mysterious flick is probably unlike any other out there, and for that reason, it certainly deserves to be binged immediately. A different role for Moretz, this one is a must-see.

For a fantasy horror flick, a 7.1/10 is certainly impressive. A young boy is bullied, and he befriends a vampire who is secretly living among them with her guardian. With Kodi Smit-McPhee, Moretz plays Abby – the vampire.

With murder, horror, vampires, and young love, Let Me In follows a police investigation among the mysterious murders. This movie is horrifying, but is totally unique and riveting.

4. The Equalizer (2014) – 7.2

This action crime thriller is definitely a change of pace for Moretz. Starring alongside Denzel Washington, The Equalizer follows a man with a mysterious past. Living a quiet life, he meets a young girl – who is being controlled by Russian gangsters. Of course, he can’t sit quietly any longer.

This suspenseful movie is filled with action and crime, and is definitely an impressive flick of its genre. With so much entertainment, The Equalizer has become a classic action film.

3. Hugo (2011) – 7.5

This fantasy family flick is directed by Martin Scorsese and takes place in the 1930s. With Asa Butterfield, Christopher Lee, Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Moretz as Isabelle, Hugo follows an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station.

There, he becomes intertwined with his late father’s mystery. This flick blew away the critics. With 5 Oscar wins, it certainly deserves to be #3 on Moretz’s list of best flicks.

2. Kick-Ass (2010) – 7.6

This action comedy puts a hilarious spin on the typical superhero story. With Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Nicolas Cage, Moretz plays Miny Macready, or Hit-Girl.

Kick-Ass follows a high school student, who is also a huge comic book nerd – who decides to become a superhero. This flick is as entertaining as they come.

1. 500 Days Of Summer (2009) – 7.7

With a lot of dramas and horrors to her name, Moretz’s best flick is actually this romantic comedy. With Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 500 Days of Summer follows a woman who doesn’t believe in love, and a man who loves her.

Moretz has a secondary role as a young girl, playing Rachel. Of course, it’s still worth mentioning, because this is the highest-rated movie of her career – and is worth every second.
