MI Abaga has cautioned Akon not to address Wizkid as his younger sibling, expressing that the Nigerian is a younger sibling to none.
Akon had posted an image he took with Wizkid in front of an audience at Afronation Ghana, however MI didn’t care for something about the subtitle to the post. Akon composed;
“Me and my lil brother @wizkidayo at AFRONATION Ghana!”
This didn’t go down well with MI Abaga who encouraged Akon to step the younger sibling talk down, well fans would seek him and MI proceeded to protect himself in different Tweets.
See what he wrote below;
African artists in diaspora actually did anything to REALLY help the movement.. as a fan of Wizkid (which I am) I don’t see Wiz as lil bro to Akon.. he has overcome larger obstacles to accomplish way more (in my eyes).. In my opinion Wiz is lil bro to none
I have shared my opinion.. you don’t agree. Cool!!! that caption should say ‘with my bro and icon’.. again my opinion..
Value what we are.. what we have.. what we have accomplished over everything else.. that is how Africa will rise..
Everyone will be alright”
