FG and other academy body should cancel 2019/2020 academic session.
Over four (4) months, Nigerian Students have been sitting at home as a result of the global phenomenon (covid-19), however, the hope of returning back to school never get faded away by the Nigerian students, despite the uncertainty and alarming rate in the numbers of covid 19 cases recorded day in, day out.
The Federal Ministry of Education should close school for this session and let everyone resume next session, with this arrangement, it will look more or less like the Nigerian students repeated their present class.
Those in 100L, ND1, HND1 etc. should start again, while WAEC students could also forget about 2020 West African Examination Council (WAEC) as they keep the faith of writing it next year. In the case of JAMB, whose exam for this year has been written already before the lockdown. The Board could extend the results for the duration of two years, hence, the jambites will make use of it next year, meaning there won’t be conduction of JAMB exam in 2021.
The benefit of this arrangement is that Nigerian Students who have since seated at home will zero their minds as per when the official resumption could be and take a swift look at other engagement they could invest their time with pending the time schools resume Nationwide. This will so help regulate the academy calendar leaving FG to fully concentrate on the fight against Coronavirus whom we assume to be a societal crises.
