Upon investigation, the institute relieved Tene of his job and warned other lecturers and students to desist from such an act.

The release read to some extent:-

Our attention has been drawn to a post on the social media, by one of our students, Ms Anjola Ogunyemi in National Diploma One, alleging sexual harassment against one of our part-time lecturers, Mr Tene John. Ms Ogunyemi’s request to the school on the alleged sexual harassment was received on December 19, 2019 – the day of our vacation. And the Provost called her on that same day to acknowledge receipt of her petition, assuring her the matter will be looked into appropriately.

“The institution, from that point, set up a board of three speakers: two females and a male.

The board sat and took proof from the two gatherings and witnesses concerned. On Friday, January 17, 2020 – the most recent day of its sitting, the charged and the informer were made to go up against one another at the board. It was hard for the board to set up solidly an instance of lewd behavior in its report in light of the fact that there were glaring logical inconsistencies in the declarations of the two gatherings and witnesses.

“We wish to put on record that Ms Ogunyemu left the board and hurried to the internet based life to disclose to her story on the day the panel’s final sitting.

“In perspective on our organization’s zero resistance for inappropriate direct with respect to the staff and students, and considering the intrigue the issue has produced, the accompanying choices have been taken: the lecturer concerned, Mr Tene, who has been on our personnel for over 10 years has been alleviated of his arrangement, we say thanks to him for his administrations and wish him the good luck in his future endeavours.

“Ms Ogunyemi, who has quite recently come back from a one-year suspension over profane dressing and gross wrongdoing is encouraged to hold fast carefully to her registration vow of directing her complaints to the specialists of the institution. We wish to emphasize that our staff and understudies are administered by rules and guidelines and it is significant we go along likewise.”
