The is a new type of scam that has been recurring in recent times. Someone buys products that cost huge sums of money, and then pays in cash.
As soon as the person is out of sight, the money changes to mere papers which are worthless. A businessman in Delta State is one of the latest victims of the trick that is spreading across the country.
A man who drives a white Sienna approached him to buy iron doors worth N500,000. After paying in cash and taking the pricey goods away, the money transformed into ordinary papers.
The businessman cried out but the scammer was already gone. Efforts are presently being made to raise awareness about the dangerous scam.
