An alcoholic police officer in Ibadan, on Thursday evening, purportedly shot a 32-year-old businessman, Yemi Ajayi, dead at the Iwo Road exchange.
As indicated by reports, the police officers had halted a Toyota Camry being driven by the deceased cousin, Kayode Atanda, on their approach to work.
It was accumulated that before the driver could back off to get off the thruway, one of the police officers began battling with him once again the steering wheel.
As Kayode driver was attempting to escape the vehicle, the alcoholic police officer shot him on the arm and the bullet hit the stomach of Yemi sitting beside him.

According to the eye-witness:
“All the three officers were drunk. I think government needs to put end to this nonsensical murdering.”
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the incident, said the Police Command had started investigation concerning the issue.
