Some pepper sellers and a bike rider passing on them to the Mile 12 Market, have been abandoned at the medical clinic after they were supposedly assaulted by some Lagos Policemen that their rider refused to pay a N200 bribe, read more news here.

As per Sahara Reporters, they were on their way to buy pepper and tomatoes to sell, when some Lagos Policemen attached to the Pedro Police Station, Lagos, stopped the motorcycle rider to collect N200 as ‘settlement’ from them.

Portraying her difficulty, one of the people in question, Mrs Folorunsho, stated, “Around 2:30pm, I prepared to go to Mile 12 thus hailed a bike. While on our way, one of the police officers at Pedro Police Station prevalently called Alhaji addressed us and advised the bike rider to stop.

The rider who was at that point on top speed, was attempting to end when the police officer used a tremendous drum to hit him. The rider and I tumbled to the ground and were left unconscious, read more news here.

“They gave the hospital our names and ran away. They didn’t wait to pay for our treatment or ensure that we were okay after causing us serious injuries. Just because they wanted a bribe of N200, they ruined my face and almost killed me.”
