Men of the Lagos State Police Command have captured three suspects, Banjo Adeleke, James Dalex and Haladu Junaidu, for supposedly breaking into the Iganmu Flour Mill’s stockroom to take around 300 packs of manures.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, said in an announcement on Wednesday that the Chief Security Officer of the organization educated the police about the missing manures, including that the security gatekeeper of the distribution center was captured for addressing.
Elkana expressed that during follow-up examination, the taken composts were followed to a distribution center at the Daleko Market in Mushin, where they were offered to certain purchasers from Kano at the pace of N4,000 per pack, including that three people were captured regarding the wrongdoing.
While the truck utilized in executing the wrongdoing had been seized, Elkana said the suspects would be charged.
He expressed, “On Tuesday, December 24, 2019, around 4.30pm, the Bode Thomas Police Station got an objection from the Chief Security Officer, Iganmu Flour Mill, that the company’s distribution center was broken into by obscure people and around 300 packs of manure were taken.
“A team of detectives from the Bode Thomas Police Station and crime scene experts were deployed in the scene. A thorough analysis of the scene revealed a constructive breaking, which suggested that there was insider collaboration.
“The security guard of the warehouse was taken to the station for questioning. The investigation was extended to the Daleko Market, Mushin, where the stolen fertilisers were recovered from a warehouse on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. The fertilisers were sold to some buyers from Kano at the rate of N4,000 per bag, and they were at the point of moving them away when the police stormed the market.
“The truck used in conveying the stolen fertilisers was impounded. Three suspects, Prince Banjo Adeleke, 57, from Ijebu, Ogun State; James Dalex, 52, from the Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State; and Haladu Junaidu, 52, from the Dala Local Government Area, Kano State, were arrested. Investigation is ongoing.
“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, has directed the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, to take over the case and charge the suspects.”
