The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has said the electricity tariffs being paid by consumers will increase in April this year.
NERC unveiled this in its ‘December 2019 Minor Review of Multi-Year Tariff Order 2015 and Minimum Remittance Order for the Year 2020,’ which was dated December 31, 2019.
It said the request, powerful from January 1, 2020, was given to mirror the effect of changes in the minor survey factors in the assurance of cost-intelligent levies and important duty and market deficits for 2019 and 2020.
As indicated by NERC, all Discos are committed to settle their market solicitations in full as balanced and got off by pertinent duty setback.
It said:-
“All FGN intercession from the financing plan of the PSRP for subsidizing levy deficit will be applied through NBET and the market administrator to guarantee 100 percent settlement of solicitations gave by showcase members,”
“Adequately, this request puts a stop on the taxes of TCN and managerial charges until April 2020 at the rates applied in creating MO solicitations for the time of January to October 2019.”
