The Mobile-Service process involves an applicant enrolling for the NIN by going to any of the Mobile Enrolment Stations available in his/her neighbourhood at any point in time.
Before NIN enrollment, you have to first confirm if you have a NIN, to avoid enrolling twice.
The USSD code that is available for customers using MTN, Airtel, 9mobile and Glo network, dial *346#, and it is totally free of charge.
How To Go About The NIN Mobile Service Enrollment:
This method of enrolment, the applicant may request for an Enrolment Form and personally complete it or request for assistance from the Support Officer.
This method is valid and complete after the biometric data of the applicant is captured and the data in the filled Enrolment Form processed by the Enrolment Officer at the station.
Don’t forget that NIN enrollment is compulsory, and it shows that you are a Nigerian Citizen.
You should have a NIN Id card because most financial institutions request for it especially when you have an important activities to carry out there.
When applying for some jobs and when filling some forms online, They also request for NIN.
So it is important you take advantage of this mobile enrollment process and enroll for your NIN.
Should in case you come across the Mobile enrollment team, approach them and make sure you are captured and make your your registration is successful.
After the registration, you will be given a slip, that will be presented at the NIMC office before the original slip or card will be released to you.
How To Know That Your NIN Id card Is ready:
After Enrollment, To know that your NIN card is ready, and to know if you can get the card at activation center,
Visit the National Identity Management Commission [NIMC] website- www.nimc.gov.ng
Scroll down to the home page and click on the e-ID card status portal, it will show you if your card is activated and ready for collection.
After scrolling down to e-ID, fill your first name, last name and NIMC checking tracking ID,
Then click on the ‘check now’ icon button.
