Pastor Arrested For R*ping 16-Years-Old Secondary School Girl Suffering From Epilepsy Brought To Him For Healing (Photo)

For purportedly r*ping and brutalizing a 16-year-old secondary school young girl suffering from epilepsy in Owo, Ondo state, a minister, Peter Alatake of Holy Ghost Mission Church Ehinogbe, has been summoned under the watchful eye of a Chief Magistrate court.

The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Adekola Olawoye SAN, is prosecuting the case on behalf of the State.

The victim was put in the care of the pastor last year, to get healing from the epilepsy sickness she had been battling with for quite a while.

Alatake, in any case, supposedly sequentially assaulted her between the 15 and twentieth of April 2020, leading to complications on her vagina and anus confirmed by a Medical report, read more news here.

The suspect was arraigned on a count charge of unlawfully having sex with of a minor yet he argued not guilty after the charges were perused to him.

Guidance to the suspect, Aderemi Adetula, argued for his bail taking into account the continuous decongestion of jails and vowed to give solid sureties to guarantee his client is available for justice.

In her decision, Magistrate Olubumi Dosumu allowed him bail in the total of 500,000 naira and two sureties in like sum.

She said the sureties must be a general supervisor of a trustworthy church in Owo and a Director in the common help with national identity card, proof of one year charge tax clearance and landed property in the authoritative area, read more news here.

The case has been adjourned till the eighteenth June, 2020, for hearing on the advice of the director of public prosecution.
