A musician in Imo State, Uba Obinna Agbaso, otherwise called Ababanna, has been arrested by police for supposedly assaulting a 12-year-old young lady.
Ababanna was alleged to have forcibly and repeatedly had carnal knowledge of the girl.
The incident occurred in Emoha in Owerri North chamber territory of the state.
Police prevented youths of the community from “unleashing mayhem” on the musician, The Nation was told.
Police spokesman, SP Orlando Ikeokwu could not confirm the incident before press time.
