Tempers rose Saturday morning as disturbed returnees from the UK housed in the detachment place assemble before the lodging to fight the proceeded with delay in their COVID-19 test outcome.

The test were controlled on the returnees last Tuesday.

As right on time as 7:30 am Saturday morning, returnees started to assemble in their numbers, demanding that they had gone through the required 14 days in isolation.

As tempers rose, and inspired by a paranoid fear of the security staff being overpowered, a support of security work force was called for.

It took the intercession of a senior police to quiet the frayed nerves of the furious returnees.

Tending to the gathering, DCP Basil, who is liable for the security coordination, reprimanded the gathering to try to avoid panicking .

He therefore set a call up with the NCDC group who guaranteed him of their appearance “soon”.

DCP Basil, who put the call to the NCDC on speaker, said it was for all to hear the discussion themselves.
