The Cross River State Governor, Prof Benedict Ayade, has uncovered why his state has not recorded any coronavirus cases.

Cross River and Kogi States are the main two states in Nigeria that have not recorded any cases since the infection discovered its way into Nigeria.

The complete number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, as indicated by NCDC, is 6677 as of Wednesday night.

Be that as it may, as indicated by Governor Ayade, when his legislature began seeing the effect of COVID-19 pandemic comprehensively on TV, it immediately reacted by locking out the state against the infection.

Ayade made the declarations during a visitor appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Thursday,

He stated:

“As soon as we started reading in the papers and watching on television globally the impact of this pandemic, what we did as a state was to quickly respond to it by locking out our state against the virus.

“So we actually did not lockdown, we locked out the state.”

Ayade added: “We blocked our borders immediately and commenced no mass movement.

“We started right on time, we were proactive, and we continue to sustain that.”
