A 35-year-elderly person, Ibrahim Agboluaje, on Tuesday showed up before an Oyo State High Court in Ibadan for supposedly cutting Mr Tunde Rasheed to death.
Agboluaje is confronting a charge of homicide, to which he argued not guilty,NAN reports.
The Prosecutor, Mrs K. Oloso-Olayiwola, told the court that the litigant cut Rasheed, 30, on the neck with a messed up bottle which prompted his downfall.
Oloso-Olayiwola said that the episode happened during the festival of Ogun celebration in Agede territory of Ibadan on July 18, 2016 at about 8:20 p.m.
The examiner claimed that the episode occurred during a misconception between the the defendant and the deceased.
She said that the offense negated Sections 316 and 319 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
Oloso-Olayiwola further advised the court that she expected to call seven observers in indicting the issue and encouraged the court to dismiss the case for preliminary.
The Defense Counsel, Mr Fola Awonusi, said the litigant was prepared for preliminary and asked the court to suspend for becoming aware of the bail utilization of his customer.
Awonusi said that the litigant had been in guardianship for as long as three years.
Equity Kamorudeen Olawoyin remanded the litigant in Agodi Correctional Center and suspended the case till Jan.16 for preliminary.
