Super Falcons’ Captain Asisat Oshoala has been delegated as the 2019 African Women’s Player of the Year.

The Nigerian forward was reported as the best African female footballer of the year on Tuesday at the 2019 CAF Awards function in Egypt.

Oshoala, who plays for Spanish side Barcelona, beat Ajara Nchout of Cameroon and South Africa’s Thembi Kgatlana, who was delegated in Senegal a year ago to guarantee the title.

It is the fourth time the 25-year-old is being delegated the best African female footballer.

She won the honor in 2014, 2016 and 2017, and was likewise among the last three of every 2018 except lost to her South African adversary Kgatlana.

Soon after she was reported as the winner, Oshoala took to Twitter to say thanks to her loved ones, just as her fans and partners locally and globally for their help.
