Ekiti Releases List Of New Teachers (See How To Check)

Ekiti State chapter of the Universal Basic Education Board on Tuesday released the names of qualified teachers new recruited for primary schools in the state.

The development was disclosed by the Director of Social Mobilization and Media, Ekiti SUBEB, Ado-Ekiti, Tope Babalola.

Babalola revealed the development in a statement titled, ‘Ekiti SUBEB releases the list of the first batch of newly-recruited teachers on state website’.

The statement quoted SUBEB Chairman, Prof. Femi Akinwumi, as saying that “the newly engaged teachers are the first batch to be employed from successful applicants in the recruitment exercise and documentation process carried out by SUBEB recently”.

Akinwumi called on applicants for the teaching job to check the list by logging on to the Ekiti State Website.

He further stated that the 600 newly-recruited primary school teachers and the 100 newly-recruited teachers under the Federal Teachers Scheme, would undergo a four-day induction training workshop from the Monday, January 18, 2021.

The SUBEB chairman added that the venue for the induction training and other required information would be passed across to the candidates.

He noted that the recruitment process was devoid of political, religious, ethnic or gender bias, he said that the exercise was “strictly based on merit”.

Akinwumi, however, charged the newly recruited teachers to see their employment as “a call to duty”, stressing that they should “judiciously utilise the opportunity given to them by being diligent, loyal and dedicated to their duties”.

The SUBEB boss also assured that the exercise was continuous as “more successful applicants would still be employed in due course”.
