Biafra agitation is an idea to create an independent state for the people of old Eastern Region of Nigeria through referendum.
Nnamdi Kanu was a relatively obscure figure until 2009 when he started Radio Biafra, a station that called for an independent state for the Igbo people and broadcast to Nigeria from London.
In October 2015, soon after arriving in Nigeria for a visit, he was arrested in his Lagos hotel on 14th October, 2015 but was released on bail from the prison on 28th April 2017. Since his release from the prison, many had refused to stop his agitation.

- Recall That Ojukwu’ s Biafra Led To The Nigerian Civil War (1967- 1970)
One of the major cause of this civil war was Ojukwu’ s declaration of Biafra as a nation. During the two and half years of the war, there were about 100, 000 overall military casualties, while between 500, 000 and 2 million Biafran civilians died of starvation.
So seeing what people passed through during this war, Nnamdi Kanu should try to avoid anything that may bring about civil war again because if it starts, he may fly and leave Nigeria, leaving the poor Igbo citizens to suffer it.
- Some Igbo Politicians Seem Not To Be Supporting Him
Imagine that Kanu is even being restricted by governors in most South Eastern States, leaving Kanu with only tauts and Okada riders as his influencers. Then which people are going to make his dream come true? Is it the Okada riders?
- Biafra Vs Igbo Presidency
Kanu’ s movement always make Igbo seem confused in Nigerian government.
Imagine that kanu and the Okada riders are busy agitating for Biafra while the Igbo top Politicians are busy looking for a way to gain Igbo Presidency. Is that not Confusion. If Igbo leaders are not yet ready for Biafra, or that they are more concerned about Igbo Nigerian Presidency, then Kanu should stop his movement because it’ s making Igbos seem foolish in Nigeria.

This issue of Biafra has made many tribes in Nigeria to hate Igbo. This makes it hard for any tribe in Nigeria to wish for Igbo to lead him.
So I think the more Igbos are United and relaxed with Nigerian government, the more they belong to the National affairs. Hence Kanu should consider stopping his movement.

Of course everyone knows about the several python Dance military operations launched by the Nigerian government on the South Eastern region, which led to the death of many people.
This is totally as a result of Kanu’ s agitation. And did you know that more attacks on the South East may result if Kanu continues his controversial movement.
