While some people might not understand that leaving one’s home and coming back safely is a huge blessing, there are people who will forever be thankful for surviving a road accident. Sadly, there have been a couple of Nigerian celebrities who died in a car crash.
The year 2022 also came with multiple reports of celebrities getting into car accidents.
Some of these accidents were ghastly, but, thankfully, the celebrities you will be seeing in this article all survived them.
1. Duncan Mighty
Popular Nigerian singer, Duncan Mighty, got involved in a car accident on the 2nd of January 2022.
The singer posted a picture of himself in the hospital, narrating that on his way to Uyo, their car drove straight into the river after the brake of a trailer on high speed failed. That was the only thing he could remember as the next thing was seeing himself in the hospital.
2. Israel DMW
Singer, Davido’s aide, Israel, DMW, had a car accident on the 17th of February, 2022. Israel took to his Instagram to let people know that he is fine, and there were no casualties.
3. Melvin Oduah
Nigerian actor and reality TV star, Melvin Oduah, also got in a car accident on the 2nd of May 2022. It was so ghastly that his car was a write-off. He posted the picture of his car after the accident, expressing gratitude for being alive.
4. Ugezu J. Ugezu
In January 2022, Nollywood actor, Ugezu J. Ugezu was involved in a ghastly car crash that left his car badly damaged. Fortunately, he and his family survived the accident.
5. Yung6ix
Nigerian rapper, Onome Onokohwomo, popularly known as Yung6ix, was involved in a car accident on the 4th of April 2022. The rapper shared the news on his social media page with a video of himself on a stretcher being rolled into an ambulance.
6. Dunsin Oyekan
On the 3rd of September, 2022, popular Nigerian gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan, was involved in a fatal car accident on his way to Oyo Stare. It was reported that a crew member suffered slight injury, but everyone survived.
7. Steve Crown
Another Nigerian gospel singer, Steve Crown, also got in a car accident. The singer took to his page on the 9th of May to share videos of his damaged car while praising God with one of his songs.
8. Burna Boy
Popular Nigerian singer and Grammy award winner, Burna Boy, also survived a car accident. On the 27th of February, 2022, the singer took to his page to confirm that he truly had an accident and crashed his Ferrari.
9. Oga Sabinus
Skit maker, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Mr Funny or Oga Sabinus, survived a car accident on the 11th of September 2022. The skit maker took to his page to assure his fans that he and his brother who was involved are safe and sound.
10. Tuoyo
In January 2022, Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tuoyo, took to his page to announce that he was involved in a car crash. He posted a picture of his damaged car, thanking God for keeping him alive.
