Nigerians Have To Stop Going Overseas For Treatment – President Muhammadu Buhari

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Friday, said Nigerians ought not keep traveling to another country for therapeutic treatment.

“Nigerians have languished so a lot of traveling to another country over therapeutic treatment. This isn’t beneficial for us and it must stop since we can’t bear the cost of it once more,” he said.

The President, who himself had ventured out to the United Kingdom for treatment on a few events, expressed this at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, during the initiation and handover of finished tasks to the administration of the medical clinic.

He clarified that the task was executed to check flooding and gorge disintegration in the medical clinic

The President, who was spoken to at the occasion by the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, bemoaned the overwhelming impacts of flooding in the South-East geo-political zone, saying the mediation task would carry help to the medical clinic, the state and its neighbors.
