Reno Omokri, a previous helper to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, on Monday blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for being answerable for the ascent in cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Omokri said if Buhari had tuned in to the exhortation of Atiku Abubakar, a previous Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential up-and-comer, COVID-19 wouldn’t have ascended to the level it is.
In a tweet, the previous presidential helper demanded that Buhari’s refusal to close Nigeria’s airspace in February as exhorted by Atiku prompted COVID-19 increment in the nation.
As indicated by Omokri, Buhari supposedly would not close Nigeria’s airspace since his little girl and late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari were abroad.
“Dear General @MBuhari,
“You are shedding crocodile tears. You caused the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria by refusing to close Nigeria’s airspace in February, despite @Atiku asking you, because your daughter and Abba Kyari were abroad!”
In the interim, Nigeria has recorded a sum of 7839 COVID-19 cases.
This was as Nigeria recorded 313 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday night.
