President Muhammadu Buhari has been approached to pronounce herdsmen killing innocent individuals in Benue state as terrorists.
The Benue state representative, Samuel Ortom, made the interest on Saturday, July 11, while censuring the ongoing killings in a few pieces of the state by suspected herdsmen, Channels TV revealed.
Ortom said a terrorist group would purposely decide to disregard the Benue against open brushing law.
As indicated by an announcement gave by his representative, Terver Akase, the Benue state senator blamed herdsmen for abusing the 2017 law that forbids open touching of domesticated animals in the state.

He said only a terrorist group would deliberately choose to violate the anti-open grazing law.
The governor urged people of the state to be vigilant report any suspicious persons to security agencies.
The representative encouraged individuals of the state to be cautious report any dubious people to security offices.
Then, the House of Representatives has asked the government to stop the section of outside herdsmen into Nigeria.
This was contained in a movement brought to the lower chamber of the National Assembly by the minority chief in the House of Representatives, Honorable Ndudi Elumelu.
Adding to the movement, officials expressed that herdsmen have been out of control, crushing farmlands and executing guiltless Nigerians.
They additionally noticed that they know that security organizations have reliably said the herdsmen originated from neighboring African nations.
The motion was, thereafter, unanimously adopted by the House. Armed herdsmen have caused havoc in various parts of Nigeria in recent times.

In another report, Yakubu Bello, previous chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Oyo state section has mourned the loss of about N5 billion by the relationship due to Covid-19 emergency.
Bello made this known while handling inquiries from columnists in the Oke-On hub of the state on Tuesday, May 12, saying the pandemic has unleashed devastation on the dairy cattle raising business.
